Russ Wilcox Announces Retirement, Will Be Elected To Board of Directors

After 27 years working in the banking industry, 12 of those years as Executive Vice President at Midwest Bank, Russ Wilcox has announced his impending retirement.
Russ has chosen to join his family owned real estate firm, Real Estate Solutions Team in Norfolk. “My years at Midwest Bank were the most rewarding of my entire 27-year banking career. Without question, Midwest Bank is the best financial institution I have ever worked for. I greatly appreciate everything that Midwest Bank and the Cooper family have done for me and my family. I am excited about the opportunity to help grow our family business and pursue my passion, which is real estate,” stated Russ.
Russ will be transitioning to a new role within the Midwest Bank organization. Doug Johnson, Midwest Bank President & CEO, is pleased to announce that Russ will be elected to Midwest Bank’s Board of Directors. “Since Russ joined Midwest Bank in 2006, he has played a substantial role in the growth and success that we have experienced in Norfolk. While we regret that Russ will not be with us on daily basis, we’re confident that he will continue to positively impact our organization on the board level,” stated Johnson.
While a definitive retirement date has yet to be determined, Russ will be remaining with the organization on a limited basis to ensure continuity of service for our clients. Johnson added, “Russ has been a great employee and a great friend to the organization. We are happy for him and we wish him much success.”
