Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP)

The Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) will provide direct relief to producers who have faced price declines and additional marketing costs due to COVID-19.  On May 26th, the USDA began accepting applications from agricultural producers who have suffered losses.

Applications will be accepted through August 28, 2020.

Assistance is available for a variety of commodities.  In our area, the most common commodities are corn & soybeans (non-specialty crops) and livestock.  For additional information on these programs, follow the links below:

How to Apply

Producers should apply through their local Farm Service Agency (FSA) Service Center.

To begin the application process, you will enter your operation information in to the CFAP Payment Calculator.  This Excel workbook will carry you through the entire application process.  *You will need access to Microsoft Excel to apply this way.

Applications can be submitted electronically either by scanning, emailing, or faxing. Please call your local FSA office prior to sending applications electronically.

We've created this quick tutorial (at right) to walk you through the process of completing the payment calculator and application.
